99% of my PS4 friends are playing Ghost War, a player vs. player DLC for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, and they are using their first / main playstation account, with hundreds or even thousands of kills and deaths loaded in the last year or so.
One of the bad parts (the worst, if you ask me) on playing only with your primary account is that after, let’s say, 1 year, you will be unable to see how good you become. And I needed to benchmark myself, but the numbers are too big to be improved fast and sometime I need to fight for days to go up with only 0.1 WLR (or KDR).
And I think most of them do not know how simple is to make a second account and try it from the scratch. From level 1, with the multiclass (a recruit with a Type 95 bull-pup very good in close range) and trainee perk, a “nice” +10% experience points at the end of the match. Sure, thanks for that, fu. 🙂
Ok, so let’s start from the setup.
– a PlayStation 4/Pro,
– a PlayStation Network account
– a PlayStation Plus Subscription (to play online)
– Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
– Ghost War DLC
For the second account…
➡️ You will NOT pay for:
– a new PlayStation Plus subscription. Just skip / ignore all that when it will pop-up.
– Ghost War Pass and Year Two Pass if you already have it on your main account.
That means you will be able to play online as long as you have your primary account (ps plus subscriber) owning the PlayStation, and you will get also all the new classes (GW pass and Y2 pass). Also, you’ll receive 2 crates, and if you join the Ubisoft Club you’ll get also a 24h booster. It will help. 🙂
➡️ You will NOT get packs, crates and prestige bonuses (points, skins, hollow-point ammo etc) that you buy or earn by fighting for them using your primary account. That means if you want new cool clothes, you need to hit the plastic in your wallet. 🙂
✉️ Email to use
Before we start this, I suggest to use a Gmail address. The reason behind this is that dots don’t matter in Gmail addresses (source). That means, for example, if your email is firstname.lastname@example.org, you own all dotted versions of your address, from email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com.
This is very important because, in the end, you can create as many PSN second accounts you want using the dotted addresses, and all this new PSN accounts will be connected to the same inbox, and you can control them very easily with a Gmail smartphone app. Pam-pam!
If you do not have a gmail address, or you do not want to create one, just use any other email address you have/create. 🙂
🛠 Creating a new PSN account (2 minutes)
Using a computer or a mobile device, just go here, complete that form using a dotted email address as I explained in the previous step (of course, you can use any other email address also), and choose a new PSN name in the next step.
🎮 Login and Play Ghost War (3 minutes)
Go back to your PlayStation and do this:
- logout your main account and login with your new PlayStation account
- start the game, choose male/female and start the cinematics
- close the app after you’ll see Bowman in the helicopter
- open app again and you’ll be able to see the primary menu
- choose Ghost War
- create an Ubisoft account (check “use PlayStation info” – 10 seconds)
- have fun ⚔️
This is it. 5 minutes, no more.
Now, I am sure your GW friends will be happy to know all this stuff, so please be kind and share it with them. 🙂 You can use social media, or even carrier pigeons if you’d like. Jump in the comments also and complete this article with more infos, or even a screenshot with your new stats. 🙂
PS. If you think it will be hard, you are right. It will be hard and brutal. 🙂 I’ve done it yesterday with another GW mate who also started from 0 with a new account and after 10 straight hours of playing together 60% of the time (I played 40% alone / random, or in 2-3 players squads) the stats are even above than I was expected from MaryAnn Lomax, my new second account. 🙂
My name is Costin, and I live in Spain. On PlayStation 4, I am playing with CostinLive, or MyAK-12. In my spare time, I am editing videos and write on ghosts.club. Please join the comments section and make this place a better one!
